23plusone — Happiness scan (digital assessment product)
About
A workshop methodology turned into something anyone can run alone.
23plusone has spent years developing a behavioral framework around human drives — what energizes people, what depletes them, what they need more of. That methodology lived in facilitated rooms. It required an expert in the space to unlock any value from it.
We built a digital scan that lets anyone experience the method in five minutes, without a facilitator, and walk away with something genuinely useful: a pattern, not a score.
The constraint
The 23plusone method is nuanced. It does not produce a simple happiness rating — it surfaces a moment-in-time pattern across a set of drives. Translating that into a self-guided digital product meant threading a needle:
- Simple enough to complete without explanation
- Rich enough to produce a result worth sharing
- Non-judgmental in every word and interaction — no labels, no good/bad framing
- Useful for individuals and as a facilitation warm-up for teams
The output could not feel like a quiz. It had to feel like a reflection.
Solution
Step 1: Translate the methodology into a question and interaction model
The 23plusone drives are not self-explanatory without context. We worked through the minimum viable set of prompts that still produces a meaningful pattern — removing anything that required facilitation to interpret correctly.
Step 2: Design the experience and result format
The flow is short, instinct-driven, and deliberately low-pressure. Results are shown as patterns across domains — not ranked, not scored. The language was rewritten at every step to remove judgment. Users see a snapshot, not a verdict.
Step 3: Build and embed
Sinyo built and embedded the scan directly into the BR-ND People website. Completion generates a downloadable report. The output is designed to be used as a conversation starter — in 1:1s, in team sessions, or as a warm-up before deeper 23plusone work.
What shipped
- Self-guided digital scan — embedded live at br-ndpeople.com
- Pattern-based result view, not a score
- Downloadable report for individual reflection and sharing
- Designed for practitioner use as a facilitation entry point
Results
- The 23plusone method is now accessible without a facilitator present
- Faster time from first touchpoint to meaningful experience
- Report serves as a warm-up artifact in team and coaching contexts
- Repeatable: teams can run it independently, as many times as needed
